A
Marine narrowly escapes death to return to a place as foreign and
confusing as Iraq. When no one greets him at the airport, he sets out
for the wilderness.€š But the people he meets start to form a new sense
of home.€š Now he has everything to lose. Five peoples' fates become
entwined when a Marine (Fran Kranz) returns on furlough from Iraq.€š
When no one greets him at the airport, he sets out to look for his
father (Whip Hubley) on the wild Northwest coast.€š His journey becomes
harder and harder as it intersects with his un-met step-mother, a
bitter Gulf War One veteran, and the British stewardess from his
connection home (Elize du Toit).€š As each strays further from his
everyday life and a body washes up on the beach, their fates become
bound inextricably together.€š Almost impossibly, a newfound sense of
belonging is forged and, finally, the Marine has something to come back
to.€š Now he must return to the real and present war.
